Soup’s On: You Our Listeners

Or maybe I should title this post “universal grub,” because as I commit my meager thoughts to WordPress, I’m reminded how my riff on Adam Gaffin’s baby while trying to explain the Kitchen elicited knowing nods and a few chuckles last evening.

But on second thought I think I’ll stick with “You Our Listeners,” as it nicely captures the communal spirit of this project as well as our first “eat-up.”

The parting of the virtual curtain to break bread with the flesh and blood behind the urls was, for me, personally exhilarating. I hope you got something out of it as well.

You offered plenty of food of thought, some served up with sizzle. Thank you. I apprehend with even more clarity than before what a complicated, diverse, opinionated, passionate group of folks you foodies are. And let me tack on “talented” to that string of adjectives. Oh, and “generous” as well, as evidenced by the stone soup nature of last night’s repaste.

Thank you.

Let’s do it again sometime.

    Thanks to all at WBUR for a wonderful event. I can’t wait to go to the next one, perhaps it will be in conjunction with the restaurant week events. I am sure that they would love the social media press…. :)
